Buyers looking to work in procurement and supply chain can get specialist careers support from CIPS Recruitment, when it is launched in January.

CIPS has partnered with Supply Management and the purchasing recruitment firms, Barclay Meade, Hays Procurement and Langley Search and Selection, to offer CIPS members help finding career opportunities in the UK and abroad.

CIPS Recruitment will help CIPS members (from entry level to chief procurement officer) tap into vacancies in the private, public and third sectors.

David Noble, CIPS CEO said: “We must support the next generation of professionals and make this a career of choice for younger audiences and those in mid-career all over the world.”

Russell Soan, head of procurement and supply chain recruitment at Barclay Meade said: "Our partnership with CIPS will help us to drive procurement and supply chain as a profession of choice while also supporting current members with expert career advice and market information".

Pat Law, director at Hays Procurement said: “Recruitment issues have really risen to the fore since the economic downturn and professionals want expert career advice.”

Christina Langley, managing director of Langley, said: “We want purchasing and supply to be the career of choice for even more high calibre young, talented and ambitious individuals.”

As well getting help from the selected recruitment firms, job seekers can access the online recruitment site Supply Management Jobs, which has procurement and supply chain vacancies across the world at all levels from CPOs to buying administrators.

From January, job seekers can access www.cips.org for details about CIPS Recruitment.
