We name the Superstars…

16 November 2006

The wait is almost over. It has been a few months coming, but all will be revealed in the next issue of SM on 30 November when we unveil the Superstars of Procurement.

The individuals were nominated by their peers, bosses and teams and confirmed by a panel of procurement "big hitters".

We began the search in July when SM announced we were looking to highlight the kind of buyers who others in the procurement world aspire to become.

Maybe they have led a huge and complex outsourcing deal - maybe more than one - or perhaps have achieved massive cost savings and efficiencies over a sustained period.

Alternatively their strength may be in the relationships they have built and board level in their organisation, individuals who have enhanced the reputation of the profession.

We were overwhelmed with nominations and had to conduct a rigorous sifting process to whittle down the 100-plus names suggested to arrive at the final 25.
