Paul Lucas has left his post as group procurement director at Lloyds TSB after more than three years in the job.

His departure follows a restructure at the bank which led to the merger of the procurement, supplier management and business process outsourcing teams.

The teams were previously overseen by Mike Corran, strategic sourcing and supplier management director, and are now run by chief procurement director Caroline Booth.

Lucas, who was disappointed not to get the bigger job himself, is nonetheless pleased that procurement has been elevated to a more senior level.

"I made sure that procurement was represented at a senior business level and getting sight of the plans and projects of different departments so we were more involved with what they were doing from the start."

Prior to working at Lloyds TSB, Lucas was IT procurement director at GlaxoSmithKline. Before that he was purchasing and contracts director at Phillips Petroleum. He has yet to decide on his next move.
