The Merck Group has promoted buyer Friedhelm Felten to the role of head of corporate procurement, effective from 1 April.  

Gavin Hodgson has joined engineering firm Harsco as global category manager. He previously worked as a senior category manager at NHS re:source.

Jyothi Hartley has joined TV set-top box maker Pace as category manager indirects. She was previously a procurement adviser at buyingTeam.

Kristian smith will establish a centralised purchasing team as head of procurement at Coventry University in May. Smith has been head of procurement and acute contracting at NHS Northamptonshire.
