With interest in supply chain management, the quest for improved business results and the need to understand supply chain risks in a volatile international market at a high point, this publication comes at an opportune time.
It is written in a style that makes its content accessible to supply chain professionals and those seeking to develop their knowledge of this.
The foreword by Dyson CEO Martin McCourt captures this sentiment perfectly when he states: “This guide is a really useful reminder of what good practice is and how it should be applied within supply chain management.”
The 11 chapters are well structured and the authors seek to simplify the key principles of supply chain management and to use contemporary case studies to keep the content relevant and understandable at all levels. Its use of appropriate diagrams is also welcome.
The publication provides a good end-to-end overview of the concepts involved and is a very good guide to supply chain management. This is a hardback that now sits in my personal reference library.
