STRATEGIC SOURCING MANAGER, LLOYDS BANKING GROUP, 30

The “drive and determination” of Tilly Harvey-Godfrey was singled out by judges when she won the CIPS Young Purchasing and Supply Management Professional of the Year Award 2008.

She started her career in buying roles at Somerfield and Western Power Distribution, then moved to AXA UK in 2005 as a junior professional services buyer and was promoted twice within 18 months.

At AXA, she overhauled the company’s approach to professional services, saving the firm £2.5 million on its £23 million annual spend in the category. “Her enthusiasm and ambition are apparent to all who work with her,” said Stephen Wills, CPO at AXA UK.

Shortly after her CIPS awards victory she joined Lloyds Banking Group and has since taken up leadership of the CIPS Financial Services Purchasing Forum, the sector’s knowledge group.
