REGIONAL PROCUREMENT OFFICER, SOCIÉTÉ GÉNÉRALE DE SURVEILLANCE GHANA, GEOCHEM WEST AFRICA, 32
To hold a senior executive position at CIPS and become a chief executive at a major organisation such as Ghana’s Public Procurement Authority is what Peter Yeboah has set his sights on.
Before joining Geochem, he worked as head of procurement at Ghana’s Public Procurement Authority, the organisation set up to regulate the country’s public procurement act. The role involved developing purchasing policy and monitoring procurement activity at government agencies.
Yeboah began his purchasing career as a supply management trainee at Minirex Drilling International before joining the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. He rose to become the organisation’s procurement chief and under his leadership the hospital was rated as “mature” by both the Public Procurement Authority and independent procurement auditors at the World Bank.
He is currently awaiting the results of his MBA in strategic management and management consulting from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
