At only 25 Nicola Todd is one of our youngest stars to watch, but she has already been identified as a future leader at Covidien, where her career has been spent to date, spanning five roles in just three years. In fact, boss David Wilson fully expects her to one day be his boss.
Todd is a senior logistics planner at the $10 billion (£6 billion) global manufacturer of healthcare products. As such she is responsible for planning stock in from the US into the EMEA region for the firm’s surgical division, matching supply with demand.
The stock she is responsible for ensuring is in the right place at the right time translates to roughly $1.2 billion (£0.72 billion) of sales a year, making her role one of the most important in the whole planning team. This role used to be based in the firm’s Elancourt office in France, but the team is being transferred to Basingstoke and Todd has been chosen to lead this difficult and sensitive task.
