SUPPLY CHAIN SPECIALIST, CSC, 29

Since starting as a supply chain specialist for the network commodity at CSC a year ago, Kristina Drysdale has achieved savings of about £1.7 million.

EMEA network services director Ralph Nicholson notes her calmness in tense deals and expects great things from her.

Her rise through the procurement ranks has been swift. Her first role was as an assistant buyer for Toshiba International Europe. She built strong working relationships with Toshiba Japan and suppliers that contributed to savings and amended a travel policy so the company could claim back VAT on expenses abroad.

After only two months in her next job – as buyer and purchasing process and system analyst for Novartis – she had scooped an innovations award. She made more than £100,000 savings in the first four months, reduced the costs of direct mail spend by 40 per cent and introduced a savings reporting tool.
